mustache lollipops for movember

I don’t know if Movember is a big deal where you are, but here in LA it’s quite the thing to do. In case you’ve never heard of it before, Movember is the practice by which every man with the genetics and the inclination to do so, doesn’t shave during the month of November. I assume it’s some sort of test of manliness and I’ve even seen some businesses using it as a contest to raise money for charity. Whatever the reasoning, it’s lighthearted and fun and worthy of celebration in candy-form! Use these quick steps to create some fun mustache lollipops for your co-workers or friends.

You’ll Need

Mustache Lollipop Mold

Melting Chocolate (in mustache-y colors)

Lollipop sticks – I used the 8″ version

Cellophane bags, kitchen twine and labels if you want to package them

Follow package directions to melt chocolate. It’s super simple to do and you can re-melt it over and over so there’s very little chance of messing this up!

You can spoon the chocolate into the molds but it was so much easier to put it in a piping bag and squeeze it out. If you don’t have one, put it into a sealed ziploc bag and snip off the ends. As you can see, Jackson helped me with this project, it’s a fun way to “cook” with kids!

Fill the mustaches then tap the molds on the counter a few times to get rid of any air bubbles. Insert lollipop sticks and place in the refrigerator to cool.

Once the chocolate is hard again remove from mold. Keep them in the fridge while you make the rest of your lollipops.
