Once upon a time, a long time ago, I lived in a tiny dorm.  I had no stove, no oven, just a little old microwave.

I am amazed by this collection of make it in a mug recipes.   I wish I had these recipes handy way back during my college days.  Even now, I find them plenty helpful for times when I am extremely lazy and just want a small serving of something- like a single serving chocolate cake.

Mac and cheese always hits the spot.  Monique from The Better Martha makes the dish a million times easier with her brilliant instant mac and cheese in a mug recipe.  I see this becoming my go-to midnight snack.

This is great for mornings you want to impress your significant other with breakfast in bed.  Run to the kitchen and make this 1 minute microwave quiche in a mug by Daisy Bun of Full Thyme Student.  It takes less time to make this dish than it takes to get out of bed at 6 AM.

Chocolate is my weakness.  I love this single serving instant chocolate cake in a mug by Lana of My Happy Dessert.  However, if you need a larger slice like me, I would make this in a giant latte mug.

It takes more time to preheat the oven than make this tasty looking five-minute carrot cake for one by Katie of Chocolate Covered Katie.  This dessert definitely takes microwave cooking to new heights.

You can pop a cake mix in the oven for half an hour or you can microwave it for 5 minutes.  I choose the latter.  I’m eager to make this peach cobbler mug cake by Jaclyn of Cooking Classy.
