Peanut Butter and Jelly Waffles

Peanut Butter & Jelly

I’ve seen a few recipes for peanut butter and jelly waffles and just had to try and figure out my own version. Originally I planned on including a waffle recipe from scratch and then I remembered that I have 3 kids and I don’t have time to shower let alone make waffles from scratch, so I cheated this a little.

Cheaters Waffles

Here’s What You’ll Need

2 Cups of Bisquick Mix

1 1/3 Cup of Milk

1 Egg

2 Tbls of Vegetable Oil

2 Tbls of Chunky Peanut Butter – heated on the stove or in the microwave until it’s liquid

1 Tbl of Cinnamon

Jelly for topping – any flavor your heart desires but I used strawberry

Adding Peanut Butter

Mix waffles per Bisquick box instructions. Add in heated peanut butter

Add Cinnamon

Add in cinnamon and mix well

Ready to Cook

The waffle mix will be very thick, if it seems too dense you can add a bit more milk. Once it’s ready add to waffle iron and cook until golden brown.

Breakfast is Ready

Once waffles are ready you can make your jelly “syrup” by heating the jelly in the microwave or on the stove so it will pour like syrup.

PB&J

If you don’t want to do jelly, regular maple syrup tastes great with these as well!

About The Chic

Back in 2004 when I was looking to name my events company, I stumbled across the word 'Chic' in an old dictionary. The definition was: “a fashionable lifestyle, ideology, or pursuit”. I fell in love with the word and the idea that chic is the pursuit of something better, prettier, or cooler than you are today. Chic isn’t a state of being or even a destination, chic is the journey you take on the way to something greater. ~Rachel
