Tasty Won Tons

Here is my recipe for Sweet Cheesecake Wontons. This recipe is great to serve for dessert with an asian meal! Waaay better than green tea ice cream ;)” – EK

Ingredients:
-1 package Wonton Skins
-1 stick of Cream Cheese (you can use low fat, fat free, whatever)
-1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
-1 egg
-vegetable oil
-strawberries, blueberries, peaches, chocolate chips, honey, caramel, etc (your favorite cheesecake toppings)

Chocolatey Goodness

Directions:
-Cut fruit up into small pieces
-Blend cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla
-Crack egg into a separate bowl and beat lightly
-Separate individual won ton skins and lay in rows on a cutting board
-Brush edges of wonton skins with beaten egg. This acts as a seal when you close your wontons and keeps them from opening up while frying.
-Fill wontons with a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture, a few chunks of fruit, or some chocolate chips. Mix Β it up! Fill one with strawberries and chocolate, another with peaches and honey.
-Once filled, fold wontons closed, press and seal edges.
-Coat bottom of a skillet with a few tablespoons of vegetable oil and heat to medium high.
-Place wontons (as many as you can fit in the pan) in the pan and fry to a golden brown, flipping once with kitchen tongs.
-Lay a few paper towels on a plate to place fried wontons on to cool. Serve immediately!

Chic isn’t a state of being or even a destination, chic is the journey you take on the way to something greater. ~Rachel
